McCracken County, KY – A late night police chase over the weekend landed a pair of wanted fugitives in jail. 41-year-old Eugene Waters of Texas and 27-year-old Jeremy Barrows of Benton were stopped at a McCracken County Sheriff's highway safety check point Friday and sped away after being asked to step out of the vehicle. A short chase ensued before Waters overturned the car off an I-24 on-ramp. The men were charged with various crimes including driving under the influence, fleeing and evading police, wanton endangerment, and possession of stolen firearms among several other charges. They're in custody in the McCracken County Detention Center.
