Paducah, KY – A Paducah man is in custody on child rape charges. 32-year-old Chadwick Gilbert is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl over the past month. Police say Gilbert admitted to the crime. He's been charged with third-degree rape and additional charges are likely. Gilbert faced burglary and weapons charges earlier this year, but those were dismissed after being found incompetent to stand trial.
