Fort Campbell, KY – Major General Frank Wiercinski is returning to Fort Campbell to again help lead the military installation. According to the Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle, Wiercinski is no stranger to the base. He led the 101st Airborne's 3rd Brigade during the US invasion of Afghanistan in 2001. At an official welcoming ceremony on post yesterday, Wiercinski called Fort Campbell home' and announced he will replace acting senior commander Colonel Dominic Caraccilo in about 90 days.
