Martin, TN – The Department of Interior plans to offer about 40 wild horses to potential adopters next weekend at the UT Martin campus. The horses range in age from yearling to 5 years old. Adoption is first-come, first-serve and there's a $125 fee to adopt horses under three years old and $25 for older ones. Potential adopters must have sturdy corrals with an attached shelter and provide transportation for the animals.
The animals can be previewed on Friday, December 3, from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Adoption hours are Saturday, December 4, from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
