Illinois – The Illinois Department of Natural Resources reports that hunters in Illinois harvested a preliminary total of 68,037 deer last weekend during the opening of the 2010 Illinois firearm deer season. That number is up, nearly 2,000 from this time last year. Just over 400 of those deer were logged in Massac County. The season resumes Thursday, December 2 and goes through the weekend.
