Paducah, KY – A Paducah man found guilty of a stabbing an elderly veteran earlier this year may serve up to 10 years for the crime. A jury convicted 62-year-old Darrel Wayne Shelton of wanton first-degree assault in the stabbing of David Feezor multiple times in a VFW Post bathroom. The Paducah Sun reports Shelton must serve at least eight and a half years of the jury-recommended sentence before he's eligible for parole. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for early February.
