Frankfort, KY – The movements of a pair of bald eagles born in Kentucky this year are being tracked online. The birds were nesting in the Ballard Wildlife Management Area but have since moved on to northern Illinois. Fish and Wildlife Resources Avian Biologist Kate Heyden says satellite transmitters provide scientists with information on their dispersal, roosting and foraging patterns. This is Kentucky's first eagle satellite tracking project. A link to the birds' latest movements here.
