Paducah, KY – A new drug and alcohol treatment facility will open within days in Paducah. The 100-bed CenterPoint Recovery Center for Men is funded by the Kentucky Department of Corrections and a community development block grant. About fifty of the center's beds will be reserved for state inmates who need to complete a substance abuse program before becoming eligible for parole. The other 50 will be available to the public. The Paducah Sun reports CenterPoint employs a peer-driven 12-step program that takes a year to a year-and-a-half to complete.
