Hopkinsville, KY – The Christian County High School Choir Director faces charges of first-degree sexual abuse. A 17-year-old female student alleges teacher Steve Sansom touched her inappropriately on the buttocks in one incident, and in another incident squeezed her thigh. The Kentucky New Era reports a grand jury will hear Sansom's case and decide whether to indict him. He has been the high school's choral director for 16 years. The Christian County School District previously conducted an internal investigation, and independently disciplined Sansom. School officials declined to give details.
