Bowling Green, KY – The Mayfield High School Cardinal football team faces off against Hazard today in the Class One-A State Championship in Bowling Green. Last year, the team made it to the championship, but fell in the title game to Lexington Christian 55-19. This year the Cardinals are undefeated and ranked number one by the Associated Press. The school system is closed today in honor of the game.
