Henry County, TN – The Henry County Sheriff's Department has the alleged Buchanan shooter in custody. 31-year-old Edward Michael Taylor is charged with two counts of 1st degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, theft of property and aggravated burglary. Chief Deputy Randy Gean says the murder of 76-year-old Barbara Jean Walker and 80-year-old Guy Kenneth Walker seems to be random. Gean says Taylor was riding with another woman, whom he did not know, before stumbling upon the Walkers.
"She finally stopped and told him to get out of the car, and he did. And that's when he walked to the Walker's house, may not even have been a half a mile. That's why he confronted the Walker's."
Taylor turned himself in to police in Jasper, Tennessee yesterday, when the truck he had stolen ran out of gas. Taylor is held on one-million-dollar bond and goes to general sessions court tomorrow at 9 a.m.
