Eddyville, Ky. – Eddyville's Kentucky State Penitentiary is on lockdown following a series of fights last week. Kentucky corrections officials have separated 43 inmates from the other prisoners since the fights broke out Thursday afternoon. The facility will remain on lockdown until an investigation is complete. Visitation is canceled until further notice. Three inmates were removed from the prison for medical treatment.
