Murray, KY – Murray Calloway County Hospital is in danger of losing some of the funding donated for their residential Hospice House project. MCCH Vice President of Institutional Advancement Keith Travis says they are about 500-thousand dollars below their goal to start groundbreaking. He says the deficit could increase if construction doesn't start soon. Travis says an anonymous donor pledged some matching funds, but those depended on officials breaking ground this fall. Travis says they may lose more donations if the fundraising drags on. He says using bonds isn't an alternative because MCCH has reached bonding capacity with its new expansion. MCCH announced the Hospice House project in mid-2009.
