Henry County, Tenn. – The U.S. Department of Agriculture granted natural disaster status to Henry County, Tennessee today. Henry was one of 28 additional counties given the designation after a first-round of awards in November, which included Weakley. Crop losses in these counties range from 30 to 50 percent. The status makes farmers eligible for low-interest emergency USDA Farm Service Agency loans. Qualified farmers in contiguous Obion and Stewart counties, as well as Graves and Calloway counties in Kentucky, are also eligible for natural disaster assistance.
