Paducah, KY – Retired veteran Paducah Sun journalist Bill Bartleman is the recipient of the Mayor's Award of Merit. Paducah Mayor Bill Paxton presented the award to Bartleman at last night's City Commission meeting. He says Bartleman has gone above and beyond his service to the city for diligent and fair reporting for almost 39 years. Bartleman played down the praise saying he appreciates the honor, but he couldn't have done it without the openness and honesty of elected officials. Bartleman is now retired from the Paducah Sun and has taken a position at Mid-Continent University.
