Murray, KY – Rain and snow are likely on the way this weekend, but that might be the least worrisome part of the weather ahead. Paducah National Weather Service Meteorologist Jayson Wilson says rain will start Saturday with snow likely overnight to Sunday. He says to keep inside as much as possible, as Sunday and Monday look to be the coldest days in a while.
"The air mass of cold behind this is extremely powerful. It's going to come in really quick as well. It's going to come in with some very strong winds."
Wilson says though this week has been colder than normal, the wind chill next week could dip below zero. Wilson says this weather is unexpected, because it's a La Ni a year, which predicts warmer than normal temperatures. So far, temperatures have been at or below normal.
