McKenzie, Tenn. – McKenzie is one of 12 Tennessee communities selected for a development program called "Tennessee Downtowns." The program aids cities and counties looking to revive commercial districts formed more than 50 years ago. The Department of Economic and Community Development provides revitalization workshops to the community, plus a $15,000 grant.
