Murray, KY – An Owensboro man pled guilty to possessing and manufacturing explosive materials at home without a license. Fifty-two year old James Birkhead claims that he wanted to protect his family after having seen the film 2012. Birkhead showed the police his materials including: PVC piping, caps, and black powder. He is set to be sentenced March 4th in US District Court in Owensboro.
