Murray, KY – The National Weather Service predicts snow and ice will likely stick around for the rest of the week in many parts of the region. Meteorologist Alex Dodd says temperatures will remain in the teens for the next few days. Dodd says the next winter weather system will hit Wednesday and continue overnight.
"At this point it looks like the more substantial precipitation amounts could be farther to the east and especially southeast counties, such as Todd County, Christian County, Trigg County, over that way versus areas further to the north closer to the Ohio River."
Dodd says snow and ice accumulation will be minor. Temperatures may also warm later this week, bringing rain instead of snow. Dodd cautions that the systems are evolving and the forecast could change in the next few days.
