Paducah, KY – More snow and ice is expected according to Paducah National Weather Service forecasters, but nothing like the 2009 Ice Storm. Meteorologist Alex Dodd says another winter storm system will likely move through the region Wednesday. He says that will include freezing rain and ice, but accumulation will be low.
"We're not looking at anything like a serious ice storm. Anything that would cause widespread power outages. It will be mainly a travel concern."
Dodd says western Kentucky counties to the southeast, including Trigg and Christian, will receive the most winter precipitation from the storm. He says temperatures will likely remain well below average for the next few days. Dodd says more detailed forecast will come later this week.
