Paducah, KY – National Weather Service meteorologists say the wintry weather we've seen over the weekend will continue into the coming week. Cold temperatures are forecast through Tuesday, with more winter precipitation projected for Wednesday and Thursday. The winds that have brought wind chills below zero are expected to become very light this evening.
The NWS reports the cold overnight air diminished the effectiveness of road salt and they say motorists should use extra caution traveling today or tonight.
Meteorologists also say there is a possibility of freezing rain or light snow mid-week. The NWS says it's still too early to tell what type or amount of precipitation we'll see, but they warn that it could make traveling hazardous.
