Metropolis, IL – The state of Illinois ranked low on a recent health preparedness study. Non-partisan advocacy group Trust for America's Health scored the state six out of ten on the Ready or Not 2010 report which investigates readiness for disease, disaster and bioterrorism. Scoring includes the quality of health information technology, after action reports and funding commitments to health related services. Illinois was among 33 states that decreased health services funding last fiscal year. Kentucky scored a nine out of ten and Tennessee came received a seven.
