Paducah, KY – Paducah officials approved several ordinances concerning an upcoming public student housing project. The Scholar House will be a 48 unit complex with a child development center and community center near the West Kentucky Community & Technical College campus. Housing for lower income, single parents with young children will be provided through a program designed to help them pursue an education. Commissioners voted to purchase the almost 6-acre property from Paducah Junior College for just over $100,000 and transfer it to the Scholar House organization.
