Madisonville, KY – Hopkins County Attorney Todd P'Pool plans to challenge incumbent Democrat Jack Conway next year for Attorney General. P'Pool filed his candidacy today on the Republican ticket. He recently won re-election to a second term as county attorney. During his tenure, P'Pool has won two Outstanding Performance Awards from the Kentucky Cabinet for Families & Children for his work on child support cases. P'Pool says if elected he would focus on the state drug problem and join other states in litigation against the federal healthcare bill. The Republican says he would also push to lessen the Environmental Protection Agency's regulations on farming and coal mining.
