Murray, KY – Tennessee is ranked number one in the nation for vaccination of children ages 19 to 35 months according to the 2010 America's Health Rankings results, up from last year. Proper immunization can prevent illnesses like pertussis and whooping cough. Director of the Tennessee Immunization Program, Kelly Moore says that they are working on improving rates amongst Tennessee teens and adults and urges individuals to ask their health care provider about getting immunized.
