Nashville, TN – Tennessee auditors say federal stimulus money intended for low-income home weatherization improvements is being wasted or misspent. The state comptroller's office claims 444 homes it reviewed had deficiencies in over half of those cases. Most included files lacking participants' income verification or properly completed inspection reports. Comptroller Justin Wilson recommends the state take action against those who abused the program.
