Paris, TN – Henry County Medical Center officials Tuesday approved an $8 million plan to build a new power plant for the hospital campus. Though, how to finance the project remains unresolved. The board of trustees agreed to allocate $4 million from the hospital's capital projects reserve fund and plans to borrow the rest from either a state bond pool or a private loan. The Paris Post Intelligencer reports officials have been discussing the project for several months now, which includes constructing a 5,500-square-foot building to house two boilers, a new chiller and a 20,000-gallon fuel oil tank.
