Fort Campbell, KY – Ceremonies are planned next week at Fort Campbell; one to welcome home troops, and another to honor a soldier for service. Specialist Leonardo Garcia will receive the Air Medal for Service for outstanding aerial flight, and the Purple Heart for injuries sustained in combat. That ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday. Later next week, around 275 members of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team return to the base. Fort Campbell officials say the ceremony also marks the redeployment of 38-hundred soldiers from the unit, which will continue through the summer. Approximately 17-thousand 101st Airborne Division soldiers are deployed to Afghanistan.
