Louisville, KY – Many people are resolving make positive changes in their lives in 2011, most commonly vowing to lose weight, give up smoking or improve their finances. Louisville-based life coach Staci Vicari says the economic downtown and slow recovery have also prompted more people to take stock of their lives throughout the year.
"I think during times where it's stressful in the world, people want to claim as much control in their own lives, where they can control things."
Vicari says most New Year's resolutions have a better chance of success if they're broken into small steps, such as gradually cutting out certain foods toward the goal of losing weight.
