Paducah, KY – Some 20 members of Paducah's Army Reserve 936th Medical Detachment unit will deploy to Afghanistan tomorrow. The team will be a mobile surgical outfit for troops in combat zones for a year. The Paducah Sun reports this is the unit's second deployment to the Mideast after a 2003 tour in Iraq.
