Frankfort, KY – The 2011 Kentucky General Assembly session is underway now. Senate President David Williams recently suggested fixing the state's antiquated tax program should be part of the agenda. House Majority Leader Rocky Adkins believes that didn't mean that lawmakers should actually start full-scale work on the project.
"I think his proposal that is a part of his agenda was just putting together a task force, I guess to prepare for the 2012 session. There has not been enough work in my opinion at this point in time to reach any kind of agreement."
The Democrat adds, with the 2011 session being so short, it would be very difficult for the House and Senate to quickly come to an agreement on the complicated issue.
