Montgomery, AL – Negotiations continue between the parent company of Cape Girardeau-based KFVS-TV and DirecTV to keep the station as part of the satellite provider's area lineup. So far the station continues to be carried on the service despite the current contract's expiration. DirecTV officials recently rejected the latest contract offer from Raycom, which owns over 30 television stations including KFVS. The Paducah Sun reports neither side has signaled any reasons for the dispute. If an agreement is not reached some 80,000 local DirectTV subscribers could be affected.
