Hopkinsville, KY – Oak Grove is the first city in Christian County to enact a smoking ban. Council members voted in the ban last night. The Kentucky New Era reports the measure applies to restaurants that allow children and derive at least 50 percent of their sales from food and non-alcoholic beverages. The Hopkinsville city council also voted on smoking related issues at their meeting last night. Council members voted down a resolution 7 to 5 to support a statewide smoking ban. The Kentucky General Assembly will consider such a ban this session.
