High Speed Chase Ends with AWOL Soldier's Arrest

By Chris Taylor

Montgomery County, TN – A high-speed police chase Tuesday in Montgomery County, Tennessee ended with the capture of an AWOL Fort Campbell soldier. Police say 20-year-old Kenneth Antonick jumped from a moving vehicle but was later found in a taxi cab. His girlfriend 19-year-old Teresa Negalia was still in the vehicle when it crashed but was uninjured. The Clarksville Leaf Chronicle reports police received a call about a suspected kidnapping and detectives believe the two were trying to run away together.

Antonick faces evading arrest and criminal impersonation charges for giving his arresting officers a false name. Police also charged Negalia for simple possession of marijuana. Additional felony charges are pending.
