Mayfield, KY – Graves County prosecutors will be allowed to present a photo lineup a 12-year-old girl used to identify the man accused of attacking her as evidence in his upcoming trial. 23-year-old Yusuf Hassan of Mayfield is charged in the attempted kidnapping. According to The Paducah Sun, Graves Circuit Judge Tim Stark ruled Monday that the photo lineup is valid. Hassan's attorney had argued the lineup was prejudicial because none of the other men in the lineup appeared similar enough to Hassan. Commonwealth Attorney David Hargrove says Mayfield police did the best they could with the available resources. Hassan remains in custody in the Graves County jail. Attorneys plan to set a trial date by January 24th.
