Murray, KY – A group plans to install a skate park at Murray's Chestnut Street Park this year. Group member Dan Lavit says the Chestnut Street Skate Park Association has fund raised with local schools for the construction project and has found a high level of support among students. Lavit would not mention the amount fund raised or the goal. The Murray Ledger and Times reports the park could cost anywhere from $54,000 to $64,000. Lavit says the park should be open by summer and expects it to be put to good use.
