Paducah, KY – Paducah Mayor Bill Paxton will head the Kentucky League of Cities. Paxton takes over from Bowling Green Mayor Elaine Walker, who will leave her post at the end of the month to become Kentucky's new Secretary of State. Paxton has been a member of the KLC executive board since 2005, and is currently serving as the KLC's first vice president. In addition to the interim appointment, he remains eligible for a full term as president. Paxton is also serving his third and final term as Paducah's mayor.
