Nashville, TN – A Tennessee agriculture official says farmers are increasingly in control of their own marketing. Tennessee Agritourism Coordinator Pamela Bartholomew points to social networking as a new avenue farmers can promote their businesses through. Agritourism is the practice of inviting the public to farms for all sorts of activities or farm products, from orchard, pumpkin or berry picking to corn mazes and hayrides. Bartholomew says the state's agritourism industry has really blossomed' over the last decade.
