Paducah, KY – The city of Paducah is planning to hold a public hearing in two weeks over the proposed construction of a Paducah Power substation on Lovelaceville Road. Several residents voiced their concerns at a City Commission meeting yesterday about the site proposed to be built across from the entrance of Coleman Place. Paducah Power is in the process of finalizing the purchase of the property. Spokeswoman Andrea Underwood says because of engineering requirements and the limited availability of property, the utility has limited options of where to build a new unit.
