Owensboro, KY – A database containing private information for thousands of patients at a western Kentucky health department is secure, after having been available on the Web for months. The Owensboro Messenger Inquirer Reports the data for nearly 10,000 Green River District Health Department patients had been available since October. Information includes names, social security numbers, and dates of birth. The company that maintains the database, Integranetics, says the cause of the mistake was unknown.
