Sango, TN – The pilot of a single-engine plane that crashed in western Tennessee over the weekend was able to walk away from the wreckage with little more than a scratch. Robert Eley downed the plane Saturday near Sango about a quarter mile from a privately owned airstrip. Eley says throttling problems forced him to crash land the plane in a field. Federal Aviation and National Transportation Safety Bureau officials were on scene to investigate later that afternoon.
