Smithland, KY – Livingston County officials are welcoming the newest member of the Sheriff's Department: a 4-year-old female German Shepard named Jazz. Sheriff Bobby Davidson tells the Paducah Sun he got a good deal on the drug detection canine and was able to raise funds to support it from local businesses. Jazz is a veteran of the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force and her addition to Livingston's outfit fulfills one of Davidson's campaign promises.
