Washington, D.C. – A window manufacturer with ties to the Murray-area faces a class-action lawsuit over a defect in one of its windows. The US Supreme Court announced Tuesday it would not hear Pella Corporation's appeal to stop the suit. The lawsuit claims the window maker's "Proline" casement windows allow water to seep behind the aluminum causing wood to rot. The plaintiffs also charge Pella with consumer fraud for failing to inform the public of the defect. Pella employs about 500 people at the Murray location.
