Paducah, KY – The heat remains off at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant as workers repair a break in the waste-heat recovery system. Plant Spokesperson Georgann Lookofsky says workers started repairing a break in the line over the three-day weekend. Lookofsky says they discovered further issues in the 40-year-old system, which led to more repairs. She says employees in five major administrative and work buildings are affected, though back-up units are warming the medical area, and the cafeteria. She says the heat should be back on tomorrow.
