Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Public Safety Committee won't recommend a resolution to the City Council to allow handguns in city parks. The Committee's Wednesday decision comes after Councilman Wallace Redd sought to change the wording of an original resolution allowing guns on park grounds but not in park buildings. Clarksville Communications Director Mark Hicks says Redd could still bring the resolution directly to the City Council when they meet again next Thursday.
