Paducah, KY – Paducah city officials are calling for bids to seal off and finish portions of the Julian Carroll Convention Center that once connected to the Executive Inn. Bids are being accepted through February 1st and can be submitted through the city clerk's office. The work would begin mid-February and is expected to be completed by April 22, less than a week ahead of the city's annual quilt show. Mayor Bill Paxton tells the Paducah Sun demolition is on track to be finished by early March, so the city can begin soliciting bids for the construction of a new hotel.
