Murray, KY – Area roadways remain slick and hazardous this morning. Kentucky Transportation Spokesman Keith Todd stresses drivers need to have winter clothing in their vehicles during this morning's commute.
"Something as simple as a flat tire or running out of gas, that would normally be an inconvenience can become a life-threatening situation. So we need everybody to be sure to bundle up. If you don't want to wear heavy clothing when you're driving, that's okay, but just make sure you have them in the car with you."
Todd says road treatments will remain mostly ineffective until temperatures rise later today.
