Clarksville, TN – Former Clarksville Mayor and newly-appointed CDE Lightband Superintendent Johnny Piper has hired his former communications director to be his executive assistant. Piper tells the Clarksville Leaf Chronicle he's proud former Spokeswoman Christie Hill has joined his team. Piper's own appointment to the post has drawn public scrutiny, with some claiming it to be a violation of city law. Local state legislators are seeking the state Attorney General's opinion on the matter.
