Metropolis, IL – Metropolis, Illinois City Council members yesterday released copies of a new proposed ordinance which would regulate sexually-oriented businesses there. An official vote is scheduled February 14th. The draft is a direct response to the opening of a strip club last month. City officials say the ordinance would require adult businesses and their employees to obtain a city license and outline specific prohibited conduct. The Paducah Sun reports the ordinance would also force adult businesses to close between midnight and 6:00am.
