Wickliffe, KY – A Ballard County man charged with the sale of illegal synthetic drugs is in court Monday for arraignment. The Paducah Sun reports Ali Abukhdair was arrested January 14 after he sold an undercover police officer K-2, a synthetic marijuana, and a product labeled as bath salts at his Barlow Cut-Mart convenience store. He is the first person arrested under Ballard County's ordinance banning the sale of bath salts. If convicted, Abukhdair could face up to 30 days in jail and a 500-dollar fine.
